Küzefest, the first light festival in Santiago de Chile, is an event in which artists, lighting designers, audio-visual specialists and citizens unite to rediscover and enchant the city through light. In this version, video projections of cartography on facades of buildings and light interventions take center stage. The theme of this version is The Power of Nature .
This version has the simultaneous circuits: Parque Forestal and Parque Quinta Normal. They are the most visited parks in Santiago, which are characterized by their cultural and heritage value to host the most important museums of the arts and sciences: National Museum of Fine Arts (MNBA), Contemporary Art Museums (Mac Parque Forestal and MAC Quinta Normal) and National Museum of Natural History. (MNHN) and some activations of light that are in its surroundings.
The festival will include an extensive program of simultaneous activities, including: Exhibition of the International Cartography Competition at the MNBA, Open Cartography Exhibition in all buildings, Children's Cartography Exhibition at the MNHN, exhibition of audio-visual concerts Café con cables) at MAC Parque Forestal, Interactive Map Exhibition at MAC Quinta Normal, projection 360 degrees in a dome with an opening and exhibition of facilities and light interventions in the vicinity of all museums.
The festival will feature the new line of laser projectors, the latest in video projection technology, thanks to the support and sponsorship of Epson. In addition, Enel will sponsor Pedal Effect an interactive system where spectators will pedal on unique bikes and will generate the power to activate the projection on the facade of MAC Parque Forestal.
